A 3-piece from Leicester (UK). Sisterland was formed in 2010 by Mark, Ian and Bobb, on songwriter Mark’s initiative. After bedroom recordings and self-promotion online, they have already attracted interest from blogs and media, which has led to the release of the single 'Tomorrow' on indie label Too Pure.

The band comments on their own music: 'Sisterland occupy a musical territory somewhere between Galaxie 500 and Queens of the Stone Age. Taught single note bass lines lock in tight with the fierce drums, counteracting the spacey, shoegazy guitars and the reverb drenched vocals. This heady mix produces Sisterland’s distinctive sound. Sisterland create a new, individual take on the age old guitar band formula.'

Filtered through their characteristic surf indie/punk rock approach, their interpretation of Red House Painter's 'New Jersey', yields an energetic version, almost beyond recognition.
